The 2026 Littlefield Area Junior Livestock Show and Sale began receiving animals in the Lamb County Ag and Community Center Barn from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14th.
4-H and FFA exhibitors from Littlefield, Amherst, Springlake- Earth and Sudan communities brought their animals to the show.
There were nine Ag Mechanic projects presented across four categories, which were Home and Rec., Livestock, Farm Equipment and Shop.
In the Home and Rec. category, the rankings were as follows:
1. Erik Trejo of Littlefield; 2. Emmanuel Garcia of Littlefield; 3. Mattie Seymore of Littlefield; 4.
Maggie McNeese of Littlefield.
In the Livestock category, the rankings were as follows: 1. Ally Dalton of Littlefield; 2. Tinslee Miller of Littlefield; 3. Ryan Muller of Littlefield.
In the Farm Equipment category, the rankings were as follows: 1. Jayden Kirkland of Littlefield.
In the Shop category, the rankings were as follows: 1. Hayden Hardin of Sudan.
Hayden Hardin of Sudan took home Grand Champion Ag Mechanic Project, while Ally Dalton of Littlefield took home Reserve Grand Champion Ag Mechanic project.
Erik Trejo of Littlefiled finished third overall, while Tinslee Miller of Littlefield was fourth overall and Emmanuel Garcia of Littlefield was fifth overall. Jayden Kirkland of Littlefield finished sixth overall.
There were 12 steers, 29 heifers, 25 goats, 37 sheep and 87 pigs exhibited at the Area Junior Livestock Show this past week.
Statyn Carr of Sudan took home Grand Champion Steer, while Kincaid Boehning of Sudan took home Reserve Grand Champion Steer.
Sloane Beerwinkle of Springlake-Earth took home Grand Champion Heifer, while Rainey Hays of Littlefield took home Reserve Grand Champion Heifer.
Claire Senter took home Grand Champion Goat, while Chloe Senter took home Reserve Grand Champion Goat.
Kooper Edwards of Sudan took home both Grand Champion Lamb and Reserve Grand Champion Lamb.
Valaree Harper took home Grand Champion Pig, while Emry Humphreys took home Reserve Grand Champion Pig.
The Junior Cattle Showmanship Award went to Saige Beerwinkle of Springlake-Earth, while the Senior Cattle Showmanship Award went to Ty Carr of Littlefield.
The Junior Goat Showmanship Award went to Claire Senter, while the Senior Goat Showmanship Award went to Jesus Macias.
The Junior Lamb Showmanship Award went to Ruby Macias, while the Senior Goat Showmanship Award went to Kooper Edwards.
The Junior Swine Showmanship Award went to Konnor Humphreys, while the Senior Pig Showmanship Award went to Emry Humphreys.
