The Littlefield Independent School District’s Board of Trust ees held a special meeting Monday during lunch in the board room of the Administration building.
The meeting was called to order at 12:03 p.m. and the invocation was given by Adrian Solis.
There was nobody present for Public Forum and Board President read a statement regarding approval of Order Canvassing Bond Election Returns. The Statement Read:
We the undersigning officers of the Board of Trustees of said district hereby certify the following: The Board of Trustees of said district convened in the special meeting on the 16 th day of May 2022 at the regular designated meeting place and the roll was called of dully constituted officers and members of said board Lance Broadhurst, Adrian Solis, Gary Birkelbach and Pat Demel. All said persons were present except, Will Williams, Hervey Valdez Jr. and Johnny Castillo. The Order of Canvassing Bond Election Returns was dully introduced for the consideration of said Board. It was then dully moved and seconded that said order be passed in the afterdue of discussion of said motion carrying with it the passage of said order to prevail and carry with all members present voting I accept the following.
The motion was made by Gary Birkelbach and seconded by Solis to approve the Order Canvasssing Bond Election Returns. The motion carried.
Representatives from Parkhill Architecture were on hand to discuss the upcoming projects.
The motion to approve Parkhill engagement for Design Services for 2022 Bond Improvements and Associated Projects was made by Solis and seconded by Pat Demel. The motion carried.
Next the Board had to make a motion to allow Superintendent Mike Read to Negotiate a Professional Services Agreement with Parkhill.
The motion to approve Supt. Read negotiating the Professional Services Agreement with Parkhill was made by Birkelbach and seconded by Hervey Valdez Jr. The motion carried.
The Board also made a motion to approve a Financial Advisory Services Agreement with Specialized Public Finance Inc., which was made by Valdez and seconded by Solis. The motion carried.
With no Personnel matters to discuss the meeting stood adjourned at 12:28 p.m.
