The Littlefield Economic Development Corporation Type A met in regular session Friday at noon at the Chamber of Commerce Office, located at 601 E. 4 th St., for the purpose of considering all matters and related incidents to the City of Littlefield.
The meeting was called to order by president Joel Griffin, who also gave the invocation. Gary Jones led the pledge and there was nobody present for Public Comment.
The minutes from the previous meeting, which took place on March 24, 2022, were approved. The motion was made by Jones and seconded by Lori Zinn. The motion carried.
Gary Jones read through the Financial Report and the motion to approve the report was made by Chase Bryant and seconded by Zinn. The motion carried.
The LEDC Type A Board discussed the construction of a 14-Unit T-Hangar, but no action was taken on the matter.
The Board went into Executive Session at 12:15 p.m. to deliberate regarding Economic Development Negotiations and a motion was made to approve incentive for project Freedome Aire by Jones and seconded by Bryant. The motion carried.
They returned to executive session at 1:13 p.m. to deliberate regarding the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of an officer or employee of the LEDC: Director. They returned from executive session at 2:19 p.m.
The motion was made by Jones and seconded by Bryant to extend an offer to Mike Neighbors to become the new EDC Director.
Jones made a motion to adjourn and it was seconded by Zinn. The motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 2:21 p.m.
