LEDC hosts regular meeting

The Littlefield Economic Development Corporation hosted a regular meeting on April 16, 2026.

No comments were made during the public comment portion of the meeting.

All but three members, Mayor Eric Turpen, Vice President Graham Henley and Secretary Lottie Spencer, were present at the meeting.

Board members approved the minutes from the previous January 15 meeting. Board Member Chase Bryant made the motion, and Board Member Pat Demel seconded the motion. The motion carried.

Next, members discussed the LEDC Facade and Signage Grant Program. This initiative aims to fund local businesses to cover the costs of outdoor aesthetics and signage. LEDC Marketing Director Alee McNeese outlined the requirements for the program.

The program offers a matching grant of up to $5,000 to approve aesthetics or signage and requires businesses to complete the projects first and then apply for reimbursement. This program operates on a budget- year basis.

Board Member Ronnie Rogers motioned to approve the program, and Board Member Bryant seconded the motion. The motion carried.

Concluding the meeting, McNeese provided a report on her duties and expressed an interest in exploring new business opportunities. Additionally, McNeese detailed website and marketing updates as means to promote Littlefield as a tourism location.
