LCRSPA will hold its monthly meeting March 3

The March meeting of the Lamb County Retired School Personnel Association will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 in the Fellowship Hall of the Littlefield Methodist Church at 10 a.m. All retired school personnel and those anticipating retirement are welcome to attend.

During the Business portion of the meeting, discussion will be held concerning the Association Scholarship which will be awarded to a student in Amherst this May. The Texas Retired Teachers’ Association State Convention meeting on March 25, 2026 will be virtual; Cindie Walker has more information.

After the meeting, members will go to Amherst Elementary school to deliver books to the students in Second Grade. Then they will travel to Sudan to have lunch at Shelby’s Bridge.

Our Association will be holding a membership drive later in the spring. If you have friends who are retired school personnel or who will retire at the end of this school year, please invite them to a meeting.

Did you know that our local chapters are more than just meeting places—they are communities? They provide friendship, support, and valuable knowledge about retirement issues. They also give members a chance to contribute meaningfully, whether by volunteering in schools, helping with community projects, or supporting literacy initiatives.

If you have ever felt the joy of handing a child a new book or helping a teacher with classroom supplies, you know firsthand how powerful that impact can be. The association thrives because members remain active, engaged, and willing to share their time and talents. But we need more voices, more hands, and more hearts committed to protecting the benefits we’ve earned and strengthening the future for all retired educators.

We hope to see you on Tuesday, March 3.
