This past Saturday, Lamb County voters cast their ballots in the May 2026 Election.
The following are the preliminary but unofficial results for elections in Littlefield, Amherst and Earth. The official results will be canvassed before elected officials are sworn in.
LITTLEFIELD City of Littlefield - District 1
Eric Saenz - 100% Brian Lee Kreis - 0%
Littlefield ISD - Precinct 4
Cody West - 63%
Sal Acevedo - 22% Holly Nelson - 15%
Littlefield ISD - Precinct 5
Ben Diaz - 54% Oscar (OJ) Zapata Jr. 38% Brandon Salinas 8%
AMHERST
Incumbent Mayor Clinton Sawyer ran unopposed and will remain in office.
Commissioner’s Court
Incumbent Michael (Mickey) Brantley and R.d. Gass secured the two open commissioner’s seats.
Proposition 1
Amherst residents voted ‘yes’ to adopt a local sales tax rate of onefourth of 1% to fund the maintenance and repair of municipal streets.
EARTH
Incumbent Mayor John Kelly secured reelection.
