Lamb County City Councils and School Boards held their elections on Saturday, May 6, 2023, with the following results.
Littlefield
The Littlefield City Council general election was held jointly with the Littlfield ISD School District Election, for the purpose of electing two (2) City Council members for District 3 and 4 and Mayor to fill expiring terms on the Littlefield City Council and for Precinct 5 on the LISD School Board.
City Council Results
District 3 – Buddy Holmes, unopposed; District 4 – Kenny Rucker, unopposed; Mayor results: Brian Kreis received 25 (12.4%) total votes, while incumbent Eric Turpen received 177 (87.6%) total votes to be re-elected as the Mayor of Littlefield.
Littlefield ISD School Board Results
Precinct 5: Neal Ray received 30 (48.4%) of votes, while Incumbent Johnny Castillo Jr. received 32 (51.6%) of votes to retain his spot on the Littlefield School Board.
Anton City Council Results: Michael Adam Salsman received 109 votes; Nicky Jezisek received 97 votes; Garland Cooper received 85 votes and Incumbent Clayton Hubble received 67 votes. Salsman and Jezisek were re-elected and Cooper will be a new member of the Anton City Concil.
Anton ISD School Board Results: Nancy Moore was newly elected with 146 votes and Kirk Carlisle was re-elected with 48 votes. Laurie Perez received 42 votes and Amber Cooper received 31 votes.
Olton Olton ISD School Board Results: Brent Burns was newly elected with 165 votes, Jesus (Chuy) DeLa Cruz was re-elected with 139 votes and Chris Ruiz was newly elected with 133 votes. Connie T. Maxwell received 119 votes.
Sudan
Sudan held a proposition only election. The proposition to “Reauthorize for sales and use tax for street maintenance” Passed.
Amherst, Earth and Springlake, did not hold elections.
