Lamb County Farm Bureau announces scholarship winners

Celeste Ramirez from Olton High School and Kara Pierce from Sudan High School each received a $1,500 scholarship through Lamb County Farm Bureau’s scholarship program.

“We offer these scholarships at a local level to help kids right here at home,” Lamb County Farm Bureau President Ricky Yantis said. “Trade school, college and university educations can be expensive. Scholarships are one way we invest in the future of Texas agriculture.”

“These students were selected based on their knowledge of and appreciation for the advocacy of the Texas Farm Bureau organization Yantis said. “We are proud to support local students in helping them achieve their dreams of furthering their education.

Additionally, Clayton Stevenson from Springlake-Earth High School was the recipient of the Young Farmer & Rancher District 2 scholarship from Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) valued at $1,000. Stevenson was among the 82 students who received scholarships from the state’s largest general farm and ranch organization.

“We congratulate Clayton Stevenson for receiving this state scholarship. We are confident all these students will be successful in their future endeavors, and we wish them well.

We know they have a bright future ahead, and we can’t wait to see how they will impact Texas in a positive way.”

TFB awards over $240,000 in scholarships annually.
