Happy August everyone!
July was a busy month with Creative Sprouts and Fiction Federation. Our Sprouts learned about Senses in the Garden, pollinators, and how to be a farmer with the Texas Farm Bureau.
We personalized our own flowerpots, made edible paint to make fruits and veggie stamps, tested out our sniffers with a variety of fruit & herb scents then wrapped up the program with a water party!
The teens who participated in Fiction Federation expanded their literary tastes with a variety of books! From creating their own fictional Superheroes, to designing a suitcase based on their selected country they dipped their toes into both genres!
We ended the month with painting a scene from a book of their choice.
Both programs were a success and, as always, we look forward to next year!
For the month of August, we will have a booth set up at the Lamb Healthcare Health Fair on August 16th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ag Center, so stop by and say hello!
We will also be hosting a Backto- School Movie Night on August 7th at 6 pm. We will be showing the movie “Wonder” and providing drinks and popcorn so bring your family for a final hoo-rah before school kicks back into session!
