The Springlake-Earth varsity girl’s cross country team competed at the Lubbock ISD Cross Country Invitational, where they were led by two-time defending state champion, Taytum Goodman, who placed first overall, clocking a time of 11:42.5.
The Lady Wolverines finished first overall with a team time of 1:12:50.0.
Freshman, Aabriella Villanueva, placed second overall with a time of 13:57.7, while junior, Emma Samaron, also medaled, finishing 17th overall with a time of 14:54.2.
Sophomore, Aryca Ibarra, finished 30th overall with a time of 15:58.0, while junior, Jasmine Garcia, finished 34th overall with a time of 16:17.7. Sophomore, Riley Furr, finished 42nd overall with a time of 16:33.7, while sophomore, Marisela Rodriguez, finished 46th with a time of 16:42.4.
The Lady Wolverines will be running again on Friday, Aug. 23rd in Amarillo.
