A two vehicle wreck on Monday afternoon in Hockley County left one dead and two injured.
The wreck took place around 12:20 p.m. on U.S. Highway 385 and American Road, 1.6 miles north of Levelland.
The Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2007 Jeep Liberty was traveling east on American Road, approaching U.S. Highway 385. A 2016 Chevy Silverado was traveling north on U.S. 385, approaching the intersection with American Road. The Jeep Liberty failed to stop at the stop sign on Amercian Road and collided with the Chevy Silberado.
The driver of the Chevy Silverado, James Dewbre, 50, of Littlefield, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
The driver, Andrew Cannon, 21, of Levelland and passenger, Joseph Cannon, 25, of Levelland, from the Jeep Liberty were transported to Covenant Hospital in Lubbock for serious injuries.
