On March 13, 2026, the 2026 meeting for Hochheim Prairie Insurance, Branch 83, District 9, was held at Loco’s Restaurant in Littlefield at 6:30 p.m.
A meal and business meeting ensued, with the Alan Newton Insurance Agency represented by Mr. Newton and the HPI District Office represented by Mr. Randal Hamilton. Also present were Ronnie Chaney, local HPI branch president, Terri Chaney (spouse), and Retha Williams and her guest.
During the meeting door prizes were presented, and officers for 2026 were voted in. Mr. Chaney remains as local president, with Mrs. Retha Williams will serve as local vicepresident.
Mr. Hamilton reminded us that we have a dues fund that could be used to help those in need in our community. Several suggestions for those who could benefit from such a donation were given to Mr. Chaney by community leaders preceding the meeting. The following community members and organizations have received HPI donation checks for 2026: Lamb Healthcare Center Pink Ladies Auxiliary, Lamb Healthcare Center Respiratory Department, Littlefield EMS, Littlefield Fire Department, Blessing Box of Littlefield, Rios Animal Rescue, Ms. Odilia Vargas/home electrical repairs, Mrs. Candace Dalton (recent surgery travel expenses), and a Littlefield High School Scholarship for a high school senior yet to be selected.
