Grand Jury returns 12 Indictments on 14 counts

The Lamb County Grand Jury for the January Term A.D. 2024 of the Lamb County 154th Iudicial District Court met on Friday, March 22, 2024, when a total ot 12 people were indicted on 14 counts.

Armando Lopez, 40, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Poss CS PG 1/ 1--B>=1G<4G 481.115(c) HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE F3, that occurred on or about the 2nd day of January, 2024.

His bond is set at $5,000. Patricia Ann Amaya, 49, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Poss CS PG 1/1-B<1G 481.115( b) HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE FS, that occurred on or about the 9th day of January, 2024.

Her bond is set at $3,500. Benito Muniz, 42, of Sudan, was indicted on a charge of Murder 19.02(c) PENAL CODE F1, that occurred on or about the 4th day of February, 2024.

His bond is set at $250,000.

Stephen Michael Nieto, 26, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Assault Fam/Hous Mem Impede Beath/ Circulation 22.01(b)(2)(B) PENAL CODE F3, that occurred on or about the 19th day of January, 2024.

And it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the charged offense (hereafter styled the Primary offense), on the 23rd day of January, 2017, in cause number DCR-5500-16 in the 154th District Court of Lamb County, Texas, the defendant was finally convicted of the felony offense of Assault Family/Household Member – Impede Breath Circulation; And it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the primary offense, and after the conviction in cause number DCR5500-16 was final, the defendant committed the felony offense of Assault Family/Household Member – Previous Conviction, and was finally convicted on the 9th day of April, 2020, in cause number DCR-5938-19 in the 154th District Court of Lamb County, Texas.

His bond is set at $20,000. Stephen Michael Nieto, 26, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Assault Family/Household Member Prev Conv IAT 22.01(b)(2)(A) PENAL CODE F3, that occurred on or about the 19th day of January, 2024

JURISDICTIONAL ENHANCEMENT

1. And before the commission of the charged offense, the defendant had previously been convicted of an offense under Chapter 22 of the Texas Penal Code, against a member of the defendant’s household and person with whom the defendant was or has had a dating relationship, as described by sections 71.005 and 71.002 (b) of the Texas Family Code, namely on the 23rd day of January, 2017, in cause number DCR 5500-16 n the 154th District Court of Lamb County, Texas, the defendant was finally convicted of the felony offense of Assault Family/Household Member Impede Breath/Circulation;

And it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the charged offense, on the 9th day of April 2020, in cause number DCR5938-19 in the 154th District Court of Lamb County, Texas, the defendant was finally convicted of the felony offense of Assault Family Violence with prior conviction – Previous Conviction, and was finally convicted. His bond is set at $20,000.

Kevin Valle, 17, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Poss CS PG 2>=1G<4G 481.116(c) HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE FX, that occurred on or about the 2nd day of October, 2023.

His bond is set at $3,500. Porsha Monae Nicole Diggs, 24, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Poss CS PG 2 >=4G<400G 481.116(d) HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE F2, that occurred on or about the 5th day of December, 2023.

Her bond is set at $7,500. Adrian Sevilla Flores, 58, of Amherst, was indicted on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated W/ Child Under 15 YOA 49.045(b) PENAL CODE FS, that occurred on or about the 27th day of January, 2024.

His bond is set at $10,000. Chrishtyn Joy Sims, 18, of Amherst, was indicted on a charge of Continuos Violence Against the Family 25.11(c) PENAL CODE F3, that occurred on or about the 16th day of February, 2024.

His bond is set at $25,000.
