Whenever we think about our passions, so many of them come to mind for all of us.
I know for me there are so many things that I am passionate about that I find it hard to arrange or prioritize them in order.
Well, it’s good to be passionate about a lot of things. Most of us wouldn’t struggle with writing a list of all the different passions that we have in our lives…
But sadly, there are a lot of people who struggle to even identify with one, to identify with that one thing that would make their life a joy and worth living for, which would make their lives glorious. So many people today are living lives without passion, uninteresting lives, lives that are separated from the fire worth living for!
I can remember times way back in my life when there was no fulfillment, no lasting joy no matter what I did to be happy and no matter how hard I tried. And truth be told, I think we can all testify to this TRUTH, right? That apart from Jesus Christ there was no true joy or lasting fulfillment in our lives. Instead of our lives being joyous and victorious, they were more burdensome than anything…
Instead of walking blessed, we were walking stressed, instead of walking anointed we were walking disappointed, instead of THRIVING we were SURVIVING.
But WHY? Because Jesus is the one that gave our life passion and purpose! Amen!
And In this purpose and passion that we have now in Christ Jesus, there is a #1 Passion that should be a by-product in the hearts of all those he has called…and that is PEOPLE. Yes, PEOPLE!
Jesus Christ’s mission was all about people from the beginning to the end Amen!
Scripture says in John 10:10 - When they asked Him why he had come, Jesus answered, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
Wow! Did you see that, it was never about Himself. Oh, He could have made it only about Himself, but He didn’t. It was always about others. It is said thatuntil a person decides to knock down their I’s and ME’s from their life, they will never truly live a valuable life. In closing let me just say this -
In closing let me just say this - It is only in making the efforts to invest into people, not only in ministry but especially in our daily lives that we truly experience the fulfilling kind of food that Jesus talked about at the well when He told His disciples - I have food that you do not know about.
Here is what Paul taught us in the book of Philippians: “Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.” Philippians 2:4. Think about what kind of
Think about what kind of world this would be if you cared about the life of the next person to the same extent that you care about your own life. What a difference there would be!!!
Dear friends, I would ask you to please just take a moment to reflect on your own life. What is your number one passion really?
Because if your number one Passion is God, through a relationship with Jesus Christ, and the Power of the Holy Spirit, then your by-product will always and should always be PEOPLE. Amen
Amen With Love, Your brother in Christ, Billy Montes
