Earth’s 79th WRCA-Sanctioned Ranch Rodeo will be staged at 7 p.m. this weekend, Friday, Sept. 17, and Saturday, Sept. 18, on the Earth Rodeo Grounds, near the west side of Earth, just off Highway 70.
Admission to attend the event is $5 for children, 12-years-old and younger; and $10 for adults.
Concessions will be offered each night, for supper, or snacks and soft drinks.
Twenty-eight Working Ranch Cowboy teams from ranches in Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas and Nebraska, have registered to participate in the five scheduled events.
The cowboy teams will particcipate in: Bronc Riding, Stray Gathering, Branding, Cattle Sorting, and Wild Cow Milking contests.
The Jr. Ranch Rodeo will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Sixteen junior teams have sign-up for the event.
Area residents are invited to go to Earth this weekend and enjoy the rodeo action Friday night and Saturday.
