Lamb County City Councils and School Boards will be conducting elections Saturday, May 6, 2023.
In the event an incumbent is running unopposed, elections may be canceled.
LITTLEFIELD
Littlefield City Council Election General Election will be held jointly with the Littlefield Independent School District election on Saturday, May 6, 2023, for the purpose of electing two (2) City Council members for District 3 and District 4 and Mayor to fill expiring terms on the Littlefield City Council and for Precinct 5 on the Littlefield Independent School Board.
Candidates for City Counsel are:
District 3- Buddy Holmes, unopposed; District 4- Kenny Rucker, unopposed; and Mayor-Brian Kreis, and Eric Turpen (incumbent).
Candidates for Littlefield Independent School District are:
Precinct 5: Johnny Castillo Jr. (incumbent) and Neal Ray.
Early voting will be available at: City of Littlefield, 301 XIT Dr., Littlefield, Texas beginning on Monday, April 24, 2023 through Tuesday, May 2, 2023 during the normal working hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Election Day voting will be held in the Littlefield City Council Chambers located at 525 Phelps Avenue from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Applications for ballot by mail may be requested from and mailed to: City of Littlefield, Attn: City Secretary, P.O. Box 1267, Littlefield, Texas 79339.
Applications for ballots by mail must be received no later than the close of business on April 25, 2023.
ANTON
The candidates for City of Anton City Council Alderman are: Michael Adam Salsman, Nicky Jezisek, and Clayton Hubble who all have expiring terms; and Garland Cooper.
Candidates for Anton Independent School Board are: Kirk Carlisle (expiring), Christina Hoover (expiring), Laurie Perez, Nancy Moore, and Amber Cooper.
Early voting for the City Election and Anton ISD will be held at City Hall, April 24 to May 2, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
On Election Day, May 6, 2023, all voting will be held at at Anton High School from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
OLTON
The City of Olton City Council will not hold elections this year.
Candidates for the Olton Independent School Board are:
Jay Gorman (expiring), Brent Burns, Chris Ruiz, Jesus (Chuy) DeLa Cruz (expiring), and Connie T. Maxwell.
Early voting will be held at the Olton Independent School District Administration Office located at 701 6th St. from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Voters must vote in their respective precinct locations on election day May 6, 2023 Precincts: 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, and 12 will vote at HP Webb Elementary.
Hale County Precincts: 419 and 420 will vote at 8th St. and Ave G in Olton, Texas
SUDAN Sudan will hold a Proposition only election for the City on May 6th.
Early voting will be held at Sudan City Hall, April 24 through May 2, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
On Election day City Hall will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Sudan ISD will not be holding an election.
Amherst
Will not hold elections.
Earth
Will not hold elections.
Springlake-Earth
Will not hold elections.
