During Jan. 29 and Feb. 5th proceedings in the 154th District Court of Lamb County, these three cases came before the District Judge.
Order Deferred Adjudication
Michael Anthony Jones entered a guilty plea to the first degree felony indictment charge of Aggravated Assault Causes Serious Bodily Injuries that occurred Sept. 9, 2020.
In exchange for the defendant’s plea, the state recommended that the court finds that there is evidence to substantiate a fmding of guilt, but defer that fmding for a period of 10 years of Community Supervision.
The defendant must also pay a fine of $290 for court costs and restitution in the amount of $35,456.70.
Waiver of Jury Trials
In 154th Lamb County District Court on Jan. 29, 2020, Julio Silva entered a guilty plea to the third degree felony indictment charge of possession of a controlled Substance PG 1 >+1G,4G, which occurred Oct. 26, 2019.
In exchange for his guilty plea, the defendant was sentenced to punishment of four years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Correctional Instututions Divisions, that began Jan. 29, 2021.
The sentence will run concurrent with a Potter County Cause.
He is also to pay $180 in restitution to the DPS, and $290 in court costs.
On Feb. 5, 2021, Dale Ray Ryman, entered a guilty plea to the third degree felony indictment charge of Injury to Child, Elderly, or Disbaled with intent bodily injury, that occurred on May 26, 2020.
Ryman was sentenced to five years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Correctional Institutions Division, which was to begin Feb. 5. 2021. He already has 213 days of jail time credit.
He is also ordered to pay $290 for court costs.
