Waivers of Jury Trials
On Sept. 13, 2021, Leonardo Daniel Montoya entered a guilty plea to the offense Evading Arrest Detention, that occurred on July 20, 2019.
In exchange for the defendant’s guilty plea, the state recommends that the defendant be assessed punishment, fines, cost, restitution and findings as herein indicated.
Found to be guilty by the court, he was sentenced to 30 days in the Lamb County Jail. The sentence of confinement was suspended, defendant placed on community supervision for 1 year, and is to pay a $500 fine and $317 for court costs.
On Sept. 16, 2021, Jeanette Maria Garcia entered a guilty plea to the offense of Theft of property >=$750<$2,500, that occurred on Nov. 24, 2018. Found guilty by the court she was sentenced to 180 days in the Lamb County Jail. The sentence of confinement was suspended, defendant placed on Community Supervision for two years, and is to pay $2,239.72 in restitution and $547 in court costs.
On Sept. 13, 2021, Nehemiah Saldivar entered a guilty plea to the offense of Assault Causes Bodily Injury of a Family Member, on May 4, 2021. Found guilty by the court he was sentenced to 30 days in the Lamb County Jail. He was also ordered to pay $557 in court costs.
On Sept. 15, 2021, Ivan Alonso Macias Chacon entered a guilty plea to the offense of Assault causing bodily injury of a family member that occurred on Feb. 12, 2021. Found guilty by the court he was sentenced to 45 days in the Lamb County Jail. He was also ordered to pay $547 in court costs.
On Sept. 14, 2021, Michael Anthony Jones entered a guilty plea to the offense of Burglary of Vehicles, that occured on June 22, 2021. Found guilty by the court he was sentenced to 30 days in the Lamb County Jail. He was also ordered to pay $547 in court costs.
On Sept. 13, 2021, Ruben Soto Jr. entered a guilty plea to the offense of Interfering with Emergency Request/Assistance, that occurred on August 2, 2021. Found guilty by the court he was sentenced to 60 days in the Lamb County Jail. He was also ordered to pay $547 in court costs.
On Sept. 13, 2021, Ruben Soto Jr. entered a guilty plea to the offense of Assault Causes Bodily Injury of a Family Member, that occurred on August 2, 2021. Found guilty by the court he was sentenced to 60 days in the Lamb County Jail. He was also ordered to pay $542 in court costs.
Order of Deferred Adjudication
On Sept. 15, 2021, Lamb County Court ordered that no judgment be entered at this time against Benjamin Bean on the charge of Unlawful carrying of a weapon, that occurred on August 2, 2021. The court further ordered that the defendant be placed on community supervision for 18 months, so long as the defendant abides by and does not violate the terms and conditions of community supervision.
The defendant is ordered to do 50 hours of Community supervision and forfeit his handgun and AR. He is also ordered to pay $307 for court costs.
On Sept. 13, 2021, Lamb County Court ordered that no judgment be entered at this time against Sergio Seas-Mendoza on the charge of Assault causes Bodily Injury of a Family Member, that occurred on on July 28, 2021. The court further ordered that the defendant be placed on community supervision for two years, so long as the defendant abides by and does not violate the terms and conditions of community supervision.
The defendant is ordered to either complete anger management course or eight individual counseling sessions. He is also ordered to pay $307 for court costs.
Motion to Dismiss
On August 31, 2021, the Lamb County Court heard the motion of the County/District Attorney to dismiss the above styled and numbered cause on the grounds that the defendant has entered a Pre-Trial Agreement.
Appearing that the motion should be granted, the court ordered, adjudged, and decreed by the court that the above styled and numbered cause be dismissed, and that the defendant, Jaime Ojeda be discharged.
On Sept. 15, 2021, the Lamb County Court heard the motion of the County/District Attorney to dismiss the above styled and numbered cause on the grounds that it best serves the interests of justice.
Appearing that the motion should be granted, the court ordered, adjudged, and decreed by the court that the above styled and numbered cause be dismissed, and that the defendant, Kelly Lynn Dendy be discharged.
On Sept. 13, 2021, the Lamb County Court heard the motion of the County/District Attorney to dismiss the above styled and numbered cause on the grounds that the defendant pled guilty in CCR-17909.
Appearing that the motion should be granted, the court ordered, adjudged, and decreed by the court that the above styled and numbered cause be dismissed, and that the defendant, Sergio Sea-Mendoza be discharged.
