Commissioners hold regular meeting Wed.

The Commissioners Court of Lamb County, Texas, convened in Regular session in the Lamb County Courthouse on Wednesday.

Judge James DeLoach called the meeting to order and nobody requested to comment during the public comment portion of the meeting.

Consent agenda items; (a) Consider and take appropriate action on minutes from previous meeting(s); Regular Meeting, September 25, 2023 and Special Meeting, October 3, 2023 (b) Consider and take appropriate action on budget and salary amendments and/or line item transfers; Gina Jones presented (c) Consider and take appropriate action on bills presented by the County Auditor; Gina Jones (d) Consider and take appropriate action on payroll; Jerry Yarbrough NONE (e) Consider and take appropriate action on departmental reports; None (f) Consider and take appropriate action on approving Treasurer’s Quarter Reports-Jerry Yarbrough presented at last Commissioners Court Meeting.

The Motion was made by Commissioner Lee Logan and seconded by Commissioner Danny Short to approve the consent agenda items. The motion carried.

Item four on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on burying a water line in Precinct 1.

The motion was made by Commissioner Cory DeBerry and seconded by Commissioner Kent Lewis to approve burying a water line in Precinct 1. The motion carried.

The next item on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on Emergency Budget Amendment for Precinct 2.

The motion was made by Commissioner Lewis and seconded by Commissioner Short to approve the Emergency Budget Amendment for Precinct 2. The motion carried.

The next order of business was to consider and take appropriate action on donation from Jack and Jill Donuts for Grand Jury.

The motion was made by Commissioner DeBerry and seconded by Commissioner Logan to approve the Donation from Jack and Jill Donuts for Grand Jury. The motion carried.

Item seven on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on awarding paving bid in Precinct 4.

The Motion was made by Commissioner Logan and seconded by Commissioner Short to approve awarding the paving bid in Precinct 4 to H&B Paving from Slaton, Texas, in the amount of $59,300. The motion carried.

The next item on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on Interlocal Agreement with Bailey County for housing Inmates.

The motion was made by Commissioner Short and seconded by Commissioner DeBerry to approve Interlocal with Bailey County for housing Inmates at $75 per day. The motion carried.

The next order of business was to consider and take appropriate action on Interlocal with Parmer County for housing Inmates.

The motion was made by Commissioner DeBerry and seconded by Commissioner Short to approve Interlocal with Parmer County for housing Inmates at $85 per day. The motion carried.

Item 10 on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on Interlocal with Terry County for housing Inmates.

The motion was made by Commissioner Lewis and seconded by Commissioner Logan to approve Interlocal with Terry County for housing Inmates at $65 per day. The motion carried.

Item 11 on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on Interlocal with Burnet County for housing Inmates.

The Motion was made by Commissioner Lewis and seconded by Commissioner Short to approve Interlocal with Burnet County for housing Inmates at $80 per day. The motion carried.

The next order of business was to consider and take appropriate action on donations from TCCC (Texas Civil Commitment Center). The motion was made by Commissioner Short and seconded by Commissioner Logan to approve the $2,000 donation from TCCC (Texas Civil Commitment Center) going towards the annual Haunted House. The motion carried.

The next item on the agenda was to discuss Lamb Healthcare Center operations.

Dylan Brown gave Lamb Healthcare Center financials report and an update on the Sleep Study Center.

Future agenda items were discussed.

Sheriff Maddox having Jail Commission study on plans for expanding Jail. Thursday, October 19, 2023 Flu shots will be administered from 8:15 a.m. to 10:15 am in Commissioner’s Court Conference Room.

With there being no further business to come before this Commissioners Court, the motion was made by Commissioner Logan and seconded by Commissioner Short to adjourn. The motion carried.
