The Commissioners Court of Lamb County held their regular meeting at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 8th in the Lamb County Courthouse, where an 8— item agenda was considered for appropriate action.
The meeting was called to order at 10 a.m. by Lamb County Judge James DeLoach, and their was nobody present for the public comment portion of the meeting. Consent Agenda: a) Consider and take appropriate action on minutes from previous meeting(s); Judge DeLoach stated that there were two sets of minutes from the Nov. 13th and Nov. 21st meetings and they appeared to be in order. b) Consider and take appropriate action on budget and salary amendments and/or line-item transfers; none were presented. c) Consider and take appropriate action on bills presented by the County Auditor; Lamb County Auditor, Gina Jones requested that the Commissioners approve bills totaling $800,490.92. d) Consider and take appropriate action on payroll; Lamb County Treasurer Jerry Yarbrough requested that the Commissioners approve payroll for Lamb County ending on Nov. 28th in the amount of $166,333.42 and for LHC ending on Nov. 29th in the amount of $256,760.66. e) Consider and take appropriate action on departmental reports; packets. f) Consider and take appropriate action on donations; Littlefield Library received $2,125.00, supplies, drinks and gift cards for the Christmas Bash.
A motion to approve the Consent Agenda items was made by Commissioner Danny Short and seconded by Commissioner Cory DeBerry. The motion carried.
The next order of business was to consider and take appropriate action on appointment to Lamb County Child Welfare Board.
A motion was made by Commissioner Short to appoint Cindy Walker for the Lamb County Child Welfare Board. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Lee Logan. The motion carried.
Item five on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on Approving a new Job Application for New Employees.
A motion to approve a new Employee Application was made by Commissioner DeBerry and seconded by Commissioner Logan. The motion carried.
The next item on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on Resolution on Texas Indigent Defense Grant Program.
A motion to approve action on Resolution on Texas Indigent Defense Grant Program was made by Commissioner Kent Lewis and seconded by Commissioner Short. The motion carried.
Future agenda items were discussed.
Snack Day at the Lamb County Courthouse will be December 22nd, DA’s office morning snacks and snacks on the first floor in the afternoon.
With no further business to discuss, a motion to adjourn was made by Commissioner Short and seconded by Commissioner Logan. The motion carried and the meeting was adjourned at 10:27 a.m.
