Commissioners hold regular meeting

The Lamb County Commissioners’ Court convened for a Regular Business Session in the Lamb County Courthouse, Monday morning, April 25, with the following members present:

James M. DeLoach, County Judge, presiding; Cory DeBerry, Commissioner, Precinct 1; Kent Lewis, Precinct 2 Commissioner; Danny Short, Precinct 3 Commissioner; Lee Logan, Precinct 4 Commissioner; and Tonya Ritchie, County Clerk and Ex-Officio Clerk of the Commissioners’ Court, when busines was transacted.

ORDER NO. 1: Judge James M. DeLoach called the meeting to order.

ORDER No. 2: There was no one who made a public comment on any of the agenda items.

ORDER NO. 3: Consent agenda items:

(a) Consider and take appropriate action on minutes from previous meeting(s); Regular Meeting, April 11, 2022

(b) Consider and take appropriate action on budget and salary amendments and/or line item transfers; None

(c) Consider and take appropriate action on bills presented by the County Auditor; Gina Jones

(d) Consider and take appropriate action on payroll; Jerry Yarbrough

(e) Consider and take appropriate action on departmental reports; None

(f) Consider and take appropriate action on Donations for the Lamb County Library; $500 from Lamb County Farm Bureau

Motion was made by Commissioner Lee Logan and seconded by Commissioner Danny Short to approve the consent agenda items. The vote being called for and all voting Aye, the motion carried and so ordered.

ORDER NO 4: Consider and take appropriate action to approve burial of waterline on Precinct 1;

Motion was made by Commissioner Cory DeBerry and seconded by Commissioner Kent Lewis to approve burial of a waterline in Precinct 1. The vote being called for and all voting Aye, the motion carried and so ordered.

ORDER NO 5: Consider and take appropriate action on Polling places, Poll Workers, EVBB & CCS for election on Saturday, May 7, 2022, Texas Constitutional Amendments Election;

Motion was made by Commissioner Lee Logan and seconded by Commissioner Kent Lewis to approve the Polling places, Poll Workers, Early Voting Ballot Board & Central Counting Station for election on Saturday, May 7, 2022, Texas Constitutional Amendments Election. The vote being called for and all voting Aye, the motion carried and so ordered.

ORDER NO 6: Consider and take appropriate action on Interlocal Agreement with Lubbock County for out-of-county inmate housing;

Motion was made by Commissioner Danny Short and seconded by Commissioner Lee Logan to approve the Interlocal Agreement with Lubbock County for out of county inmate housing, with no changes from last year. The vote being called for and all voting Aye, the motion carried and so ordered.

ORDER NO 7: Consider and take appropriate action on Addendum to LGS Contract;

Motion was made by Commissioner Kent Lewis and seconded by Commissioner Lee Logan to approve action on Addendum to LGS Contract, adding one Deputy District Clerk. The vote being called for and all voting Aye, the motion carried and so ordered.

ORDER NO 8: Consider and take appropriate action to declare a list of property from Lamb Healthcare Center Surplus and sell at public auction;

Motion was made by Commissioner Danny Short and seconded by Commissioner Lee Logan to approve to declare a list of property from Lamb Healthcare Center Surplus and sell at public auction. The vote being called for and all voting Aye, the motion carried and so ordered.

ORDER NO 9: Discuss Lamb Healthcare Center operations; Cindy Klein

Cindy Klein Pope gave reports on Lamb Healthcare Center.

ORDER NO 10: Future agenda items;

Change Monday, May 23, 2022 Regular Commissioner’s Court Meeting to Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.

ORDER NO 11: Adjournment; There being no further business to come before this Commissioners Court, motion was made by Commissioner Lee Logan and seconded by Commissioner Danny Short to adjourn. The vote being called for and all voting Aye, the motion carried and so ordered.
