Commissioners hold reguar meeting Dec. 22

The Commissioners Court of Lamb County held their regular meeting at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 22nd in the Lamb County Courthouse, where a 7— item agenda was considered for appropriate action.

The meeting was called to order at 10 a.m. by Lamb County Judge James DeLoach, and their was nobody present for the public comment portion of the meeting. Consent Agenda: a) Consider and take appropriate action on minutes from previous meeting(s); Judge DeLoach stated that there was one set of minutes from the Dec. 8th meeting and they appeared to be in order. b) Consider and take appropriate action on budget and salary amendments and/or line-item transfers; none were presented. c) Consider and take appropriate action on bills presented by the County Auditor; Lamb County Auditor, Gina Jones requested that the Commissioners approve bills totaling $1,154,078.55. d) Consider and take appropriate action on payroll; Deputy County Treasurer Terra Hopper requested that the Commissioners approve payroll for Lamb County ending on Dec. 12th in the amount of $174,727.96 and for LHC ending on Dec. 13th in the amount of $258,424.06. e) Consider and take appropriate action on departmental reports; packets. f) Consider and take appropriate action on donations; Littlefield Library received $ 1,418.95, door prizes and gift certificates for the Christmas Bash. The Lamb County Sheriff’s Office also got a donation in the amount of $500.

A motion to approve the Consent Agenda items was made by Commissioner Cory DeBerry and seconded by Commissioner Danny Short. The motion carried.

The next order of business was to consider and take appropriate action on donation of surplus road material from TxDot.

A motion was made by Commissioner Short and seconded by Commissioner Lee Logan to approve the donation of surplus road material from TxDot. The motion carried.

Item five was a presentation from Lamb County 4H.

Future agenda items were discussed.

With no further business to discuss, a motion to adjourn was made by Commissioner Logan and seconded by Commissioner Short. The motion carried and the meeting was adjourned at 10:37 a.m.
