The County Commissioners met in regular session Monday, Nov. 14, 2022 at 2 p.m. at the Lamb County Courthouse.
Judge James DeLoach called the meeting to order at 2 p.m., gave the invocation and led the United States and Texas Pledges.
No one spoke for public comment.
The Consent Agenda items were as follows: Consider and take appropriate action on the minutes from the previous meetings, which there were two: the Special Meeting held Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022 and the regular meeting held Monday, Oct. 24, 2022; Consider and take appropriate action on budget and salary amendments and/or line item transfers, which there were none; Consider and take appropriate action on bills presented by County Auditor, Gina Jones; Consider and take appropriate action on payroll, presented by Jerry Yarbrough; and Consider and take appropriate action on departmental reports, which there were none.
A motion was made by Commissioner Danny Short and seconded by Commissioner Lee Logan to approve the consent agenda items. The motion carried.
Item number four on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on discussion of Rules for S.O. Firing Range Rules.
No action was taken. The next item on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on Interlocal Agreement with Lubbock County to house their Inmates.
A motion was made by Commissioner Lee Logan and seconded by Commissioner Danny Short to approve the Interlocal Agreement. The motion carried.
Item number six on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on Lease for Precinct 1 Motor Grader with First National Bank.
The motion was made by Commissioner Cory DeBerry to approve the Lease for Precinct 1 Motor Grader with First National Bank. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Danny Short. The motion carried.
The next item on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on presentation from DM3 Power Systems on a future wind project in Lamb County.
Chris Patterson gave a presentation. No action was taken.
Item number eight on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on Canvass of Tues-day, Nov. 8th General Election.
No action was taken. Special Meeting Friday, Nov. 18, 2022 at 2 p.m.
The next item on the agenda was to discuss Lamb Healthcare Center operations.
Cindy Pope gave report regarding the Lamb Healthcare Center.
Item number 10 on the agenda was to discuss future agenda items.
Friday, Nov. 18, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. will be the Thanksgiving Luncheon. Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. will be Judge F. Klein’s retirement party. Selena Ramirez and Tori Dennis gave reports on the Lamb County Library.
The court went into an Executive Session as authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act and pursuant to Government Code 551, Sub-Chapter D. Personnel Issues.
Judge DeLoach called for the Commissioners and District Attorney to attend.
The Executive Session was opened at 2:55 p.m. and closed at 4:11 p.m.
With there being no further business to bring before the Commissioner Court, a motion was made by Commissioner Danny Short and seconded by Commissioner Lee Logan to adjourn. The motion carried. The meeting adjourned.
