Commissioners conduct business meeting

The Commissioners Court of Lamb County, Texas, convened in regular session in the Lamb County Courthouse on Monday, Sept. 13 th .

The following members were present: James M. DeLoach, COUNTY JUDGE, PRESIDING, and Cory DeBerry, Commissioner, Precinct No. 1, Kent Lewis, Com missioner, Precinct No. 2 Danny Short, Commissioner, Precinct No. 3 Lee Logan, Commissioner, Precinct No. 4, Tonya Ritchie, County Clerk and Ex-Officio Clerk of the Commissioners Court.

Judge James M. DeLoach called the meeting to order, then introduced and welcomed Pepper Grey as a new employee in the Treasurer’s Office.

Consent agenda items included:

Considering and taking appropriate action on minutes from previous meeting(s); Regular Meeting, August 30, 2021; Considering and taking appropriate action on budget and salary amendments and/or line item transfers; None; Considering and taking appropriate action on bills presented by the County

Auditor; Gina Jones; Considering and taking appropriate action on payroll; Jennifer McKinnon; Considering and taking appropriate action on departmental reports, which were presented to the commissioners in a packet.

The motion was made by Commissioner Lee Logan and seconded by Commissioner Danny Short to approve the consent agenda items. The motion carried.

Item four on the agenda was to Consider and take appropriate action on Interlocal Agreement between City of Littlefield and Lamb County for Maintenance of South Sunset.

The Motion was made by Commissioner Logan and seconded by Commissioner Short to approve action on Interlocal Agreement between City of Littlefield and Lamb County for Maintenance of South Sunset. The motion carried.

The next item on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on Proposals for Architectural and Engineering Services for County Projects. The item was tabled until next

The item was tabled until next Commissioner’s Court Meeting. Judge DeLoach opened the one proposal from Chapman Harvey Architects, Inc. and gave each Commissioner a proposal book to look over.

Next the commissioners considered and took appropriate action on Building Lease for JP4.

The motion was made by Commissioner Logan and seconded by Commissioner Kent Lewis to renew Building Lease for JP4. The the motion carried.

They Considered and took appropriate action on COVID Sick Leave Policy for Lamb County Sheriff’s office Mandated by HB 2073.

The motion was made by Commissioner Lewis and seconded by Commissioner Cory DeBerry to approve action on COVID Sick Leave Policy for Lamb County Sheriff’s office Mandated by HB 2073. The motion carried.

The commissioners also considered and took appropriate action on Contribution to Lamb County Soil and Water Conservation District.

Motion was made by Commissioner Lewis and seconded by Commissioner DeBerry to take action on Contribution to Lamb County Soil and Water Conservation District. The motion carried.

Future agenda items included Cindy Pope stating on Tuesday, the Hospital would have a walk through on renovations.

With there being no further business to come before this Commissioners Court, the motion to adjourn was made by Commissioner Logan and seconded by Commissioner Short. The motion carried.
