City employees are busy on improvements all around town

PACKING NEW SOUTH SUNSET AVE. PAVEMENT –This repaired spot won’t be soft any longer, since it is being packed by this machine run by a City of Littlefield employee.

COVERING POTHOLES ON SUNSET AVENUE – City of Littlefield employees were working on South Sunset Avenue Thursday afternoon, to patch the severely damaged street in several places. Holes were also being covered near the entrance to the Prescription Shop and Gifts, and the exit off Sunset Avenue to the Hospital’s Emergency Room. One employee is running the paver, while others are directing traffic around them. This scene is near the exit onto Sunset Avenue from Highway 84, near the Arbor Grace Retirement Home. 

WORKING FRESHLY LAID PAVEMENT – Littlefield City employees are shown working the edges of some freshly-laid pavement, near the entrance from South Sunset Ave., onto U.S. Highway 84. The machine on the left was bringing pavement material to the scene, and workers were scooping some of it onto what is already laid, before it was run over and packed. They were repairing some potholes that have been caused by traffic running onto and off that street.

TREE WORK – City of Littlefield crews were working on cleaning up the trees at Laguna Park on Thursday.
