The Littlefield Chamber of Commerce has notified the Lamb County Leader News that the winning entry of their first annual Christmas Home Lighting Contest was the home of Mr. Freddie Sierra at 402 E 7th Street.
His lighting display received the most votes from among the 15 entries submitted to the Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Sierra has been building and maintaining his whimsical Christmas display that features lights and a large collection of blow- up decorations since 2009. He started with just a few pieces purchased at Christmas clearance sales and has since added to them each year.
Mr. Sierra stated that he wanted to create special Christmas memories for his grandchildren and children. As a matter of fact, he admitted that his grandchildren, are the “little elves” who are his inspiration and helpers in the project.
Mr. Sierra is employed by TCCC in Littlefield. He plans to continue his Christmas displays as long as he is able to do so.
