On Sunday, August 3rd around 2:03 p.m., a one vehicle crash on County Road 163, 0.50 miles north of County Road 1028, left one man dead.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2006 Jeep was trav-eling south on County Road 163. The Jeep left the roadway to the east barrow ditch, then entered the field, where it went into a side skid. The Jeep continued in the side skid, rolled over, and came to rest upright.
The driver, Troy Moore, 54, of Muleshoe, Texas, was pronounced deceased on scene as a result of the injuries he sustained during the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
