On Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, around 6:35 a.m. a two vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of FM 1760 and County Road 153, leaving one person dead.
The Preliminary investigation from the Texas Department of Public Safety revealed that a 2001 Nissan Frontier Pickup was southbound on County Road 153 approaching the intersection with FM 1760, with CR 153 controlled by a stop sign.
A 2020 Chevrolet Silverado Pickup was westbound on FM 1760 and approached the intersection with CR 153. The Nissan Frontier pulled out in front of the Silverado, with the Silverado colliding into the left rear side of the Frontier.
The driver of the Frontier, Enid Ramirez Martinez, 31, of Muleshoe was pronounced deceased on scene as a result of the injuries sustained during the crash. She was not wearing a seat belt.
