Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Castro/Hale/Lamb County is hosting two workshops for producers on using the profitability analyzer to quickly and accurately evaluate the relative profitability of all relevant crops. The workshops are on February 24th in Olton and February 25th in Plainview. On both days, lunch will be provided thanks to grants from the Texas Cotton State Support Committee.
The profitability analyzer tool is an extremely flexible decision aid that assists producers in making management decisions on their land like their cropping choices and water use. Producers are able to modify prices, input cost, and yields to fit their operations.
The workshop will provide producers with current market outlooks from Drs. Mark Welch and John Robinson. Dr. Ken Lege will give updates on cotton planting decisions and Dr. Andrew Wright and Will Keeling will show producers how to use the profitability analyzer and customize their operation.
To RSVP for either workshop, please call Kristie Keys at 325-6658790 or kristie.keys@ag.tamu.edu
