Saturday, May 28th, Abby Bass performed at the 2022 UIL Texas State Solo Ensemble Contest (TSSEC). There are so many participants, that this is a two-day contest, Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th.
Thousands of students perform at TSSEC, but only 2%-3% of the solo performances earn this distinguished honor of being recognized as an “Outstanding Performer”. This achievement is truly a mark of musical excellence!
In recognition of this honor, Abby received the draped gold medal. The medallion is identical to those awarded to state champions in all UIL events.
Awards of this nature do not come easily. The many hours of practice shows Abby’s determination to be the best. All three directors salute you Abby on your accomplishment.
