50 Years of Service to LCEC Membership

On July 14, Floyd Trevino achieved a milestone that few often reach in their lifetime; it marked his 50th anniversary of employment at Lamb County Electric Cooperative.

LCEC celebrated Floyd’s achievement with an afternoon reception that was attended by employees and members of our board of directors. He was presented with a resolution that was signed by the board honoring him for his dedicated and unwavering service.

“For an employee to stay with us for fifty years, that is a true reflection on the work environment and the quality of employees, Floyd being one of them, we have here at LCEC,” said Lamb County Electric Cooperative’s General Manager/CEO Blake Moore. “I knew who Floyd was from my past role before I started here, and I knew he had an outstanding reputation in the cooperative world,” Moore also stated.

Floyd has had three different roles in his tenure at LCEC. He currently serves as the Engineering Technology Superintendent where he oversees our advanced metering infrastructure, our meter department, and our SCADA system. Floyd is also one of our oncall supervisors and always shows up when a storm or outage occurs.

After 50 years of service, Floyd’s is a face that is recognized by our membership. He exemplifies the qualities of an employee whose passion is to serve our members in the best possible manner. Employees like Floyd are how LCEC has been able to provide the quality of service we have had for the past 87 years.

On behalf of the Lamb County EC employees, board of directors and members, thank you for 50 years of service, Floyd.
