The 2025 Littlefield Area Junior Livestock Show and Sale will begin receiving animals in the Lamb County Ag and Community Center Barn from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8.
Bringing their animals to the show will be 4-H and FFA exhibitors from Littlefield, Amherst and Sudan communities, and they must have them in the barn by 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9.
The weighing of steers, checking in of the heifers, and weigh-in of sheep and goats will begin at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9.
At 11 a.m. Thursday, Ag Mechanics Projects will begin checking in.
Weight cards of swine will be due into the office at 12 noon Thursday. The weigh-in order for all species will be for Lamb County 4-H, Littlefield FFA, Sudan FFA and Amherst FFA members.
At 1 p.m. the Ag Mechanics judging will begin.
At 5 p.m., the heifer show will begin, followed by the steers, and beef showmanship. Friday, Jan. 10 At 8 a.m., exhibitors will begin getting their pens cleaned, and rubbish removed.
Also at 8:30 a.m. the Goat Show will be followed by the Lamb Show, then the Swine Show will be judged. Saturday, Jan. 11 Auction Sale At 11 a.m. kids will report to sale and pictures will be taken. Prior to the premium auction Sale that starts at 1 p.m., an appreciation lunch for buyers and donors will be served by 4-H and FFA members from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Cory Been will serve as auctioneer Animal Superintendents Superintendents for the various animal divisions are: Tyson Carr of Littlefield, the steers and beef heifers; John VanDePol of Amherst, Dairy Heifers; Jeff Edwards of Amherst, lambs; Kyle Muller of Littlefield, goats; Kris Humphreys of Sudan, swine; and Sal Acevedo of Littlefield, the Ag Mechanics projects.

The judge for the dairy heifers had not been decided earlier in the month.
The public is invited to observe the judging of all the animal categories.
