His favorite subjects in school were technology, agriculture and algebra I and II. The organizations Contreras belonged to included UIL, One Act Play and FFA as an officer and member.

Speech students head to Iowa

This past weekend, Feb. 22, 2025, at Monterey High School in Lubbock, seven Sudan High School students competed in the National Speech and Debate Association district tournament against 1A through 6A schools from Midland/Odessa to the top of the Panhandle.
