MOORES HONORED BY 4-H -- Lamb County EC General Manager Blake Moore and his family are big supporters of 4-H and will be honored for their contributions and accomplishments at the District 2 4-H Gold Star Banquet in November.

City of Littlefield reiterates zero-tolerance policy for dogs at large

There have been dog attacks recently in the area and the City of Littlefield and Animal Control feels it is important to heighten awareness to the zero-tolerance policy regarding Dogs at Large.

Littlefield Jr. High releases first six weeks honor rolls

Antique Tractor show set for Oct. 14th-15th

The South Plains Antique Tractor Association will host the 20th annual Antique Tractor and Engine Show on Friday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the FiberMax Center for Discovery, located at East Broadway and Canyon Lakes Dr. in Lubbock.

Lamb County Retired Teachers and School Employees will meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022 at 10 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the First Methodist Church. All retired school employees from Lamb County are invited to attend.

Kristina Gutierrez and Clayton Yantis, both of Houston, were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday Sept. 24, 2022 at La Cantera Resort and Spa in San Antonio, Texas. The bride is the daughter of America Garza of Laredo, Texas.

Nicholas Trugillo receives Masters Degree

Nicholas “Nic” Trugillo, son of Timm and Josie Trugillo, of Amherst, graduated Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022 from Penn State University (State College, Pennsylvania) with a Master’s Degree of Professional Studies in Human Resources and Employment Relations.

Big Boy and Athena are ready for adoption

There are two dogs up for adoption at The Littlefield Animal Shelter. Big Boy is a two-year-old Pit mix. He is a gentle giant, he is very sweet and is seeking a running buddy. The shelter has a two- to threeyear- old Sheppard mix named Athena.

Lfd. Independent Baptist Church to host Bible Club every Thursday

The Littlefield Independent Baptist Church will be hosting a back-to-school Bible Club for children ages five to 11 years old at 812 E. Waylon Jennings Blvd. The club will start at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022 and will be held every Thursday throughout Sept.

Double ring wedding vows were exchanged Sunday, July 17, 2022 between Shelton Lee Lovett and Brookelyn Ann Young at the Horse Shoe Knot in Lubbock. The parents of the bride are Kelly and Amy Young of Spade. Parents of the groom are Lonnieand Samantha Lovett of Bushland.
