Newsom Grape Day set April 26 in Plains

Newsom Vineyards, along with members from the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, will host Newsom Grape Day on April 26 in Plains.This free event will be from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at Newsom Vineyards, located at 1611 State Highway 2196.An RSVP is required for an accurate head count for lunch.

Earth to Celebrate 100th Anniversary

Earth is having a celebration honoring it’s 100th anniversary on Saturday, June 15th.Activities will begin at 10 a.m. with a parade down Main Street and will continue to the Rodeo Grounds. There will be a brief history of the town and displays about different people from the area.

Amherst Hamburger Fundraiser

There will be a Hamburger Fundraiser on Thursday, April 25th, at 6:30 p.m. at the Amherst City Park, located at 1st and Washington.The cost is $10 and all proceeds will be going towards the Community Park Project.

Thunderbirds to perform at Holloman’s 2024 Air Show

The U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron “Thunderbirds” will perform at the Legacy of Liberty Air Show at Holloman Air Force Base on June 2, 2024.“ We are thrilled to add Holloman to our 2024 schedule,” said Thunderbird #1, Lt. Col. Nathan Malafa.

The 55th Annual Ranch Day promises a fun-filled day at the ranch for all ages from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at the National Ranching Heritage Center (NRHC) on the Texas Tech University campus.

1st Annual Community Night-Out set for April 19

Lamb County Juvenile Probation and LEAF invite the public to their first annual Community Night Out, which will take place on April 19th from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.The event will be in the Lamb County Juvenile Center Parking Lot, located at 232 Phelps Ave. in Littlefield.
