The Sudan Nettes’ varsity softball team throttled the Lockney Lady Horns on the road on Tuesday, 25-2, in district play. With the win, the Nettes improve to 2-1 in district play.

The Olton Mustangs and Fillie were well represented in post-season honors, headlined by senior, Nate Urbina, making the TABC All-Region Team. Urbina was also District 4-2A Co-MVP, while senior, Jimmy Munoz, earned Co-Defenisve MVP honors for the district and freshman, Johnathan Cooper, was named the district’s Newcomer of the Year.

The Littlefield Wildcats and Lady Cats’ varsity basketball teams were well represented with post-season honors, headlined by junior, Chip Green, who was an All-Region selection. On the girl’s side, junior, Ari Castillo, was the District 3-3A MVP, while on the boy’s side, juniors, Ryan Williams and Green were Co-District MVP’s.

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines and Lady Wolverines’ basketball team were represented on the 2024 District 4-1A All-District teams, headlined by boys Offensive MVP, JJ Jaramillo. On the boy’s side, sophomore, Kaleb Castillo and senior, Isaiah Tovar, were first-team All-District selections.

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity baseball team got district play started on the right foot on Tuesday with a, 15-5, road win over the Lockney Longhorns. With the win, the Hornets improve to 7-4 overall, 1-0 in district play.

The Olton Mustang’s varsity baseball team opened district play on Monday, as junior, Jaxon Tomsu, blasted a two-run walk-off homerun to right field to lift the Mustangs over the Hale Center Owls, 10-8.
