Lady Cats stumble against Ropes, 0-3

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team took a loss at home on Tuesday to the Ropes Lady Eagles, 0-3, in pre-district play. With the loss, the Lady Cats fall to 9-6 overall on the season.

Wolverines hold off late surge from Panthers, 56-42

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity football team held off a late comeback from the Whitharral Panthers in their season- opener on Friday to take the victory, 56-42. With the win, the Wolverines improve to 1-0 overall on the season.

Mustangs clip hornets on the road in opener

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity football team used a big third quarter to pull away from the Sudan Hornets in their season-opener on the road on Friday night, taking the victory, 35-20. With the win, the Mustangs improved to 1-0 on the season, while the Hornets fell to 0-1 to begin the season.

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity football team dropped a tough contest in their season-opener at Muleshoe on Friday, as they fell to the Mules, 48-20, in this year’s edition of the ‘War on 84’. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 0-1 to begin the season.
