S-E Jr. High Cross Country teams at Sundown

The Springlake-Earth junior high cross country teams competed at the Oil Patch Invitational in Sundown on Saturday. On the girl’s side, Amethyst Huerta placed eighth overall, clocking a time of 15:23.37. Brianne Welch finished 25th overall with a time of 15:56.

Mustangs thump longhorns, 52,21 for homecoming victory

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity football team celebrated homecoming on Friday with a, 52-21, victory over the Vega Longhorns at Mustang Stadium to close out the pre-district schedule. With the win, the Mustangs improve to 4-1 overall on the season.

The Olton Colt and Fillies’ varsity cross country team competed at the Oil Patch Invitational in Sundown on Saturday. On the girl’s side, Xavery Arredondo finished 12th overall with a time of 15:40.56, while Gabriella Reyes finished 19th overall with a time of 15:49.85.

The Littlefield Wildcat and Lady Cat’ varsity and JV cross country teams competed at the Oil Patch Invitational in Sundown on Saturday, where the Wildcats placed seventh overall as a team. On the boy’s side, th Wildcats were led by Ramiro Candelario, who placed 17th overall with a time of 19:47.33.

The Littlefield Wildcat and Lady Cats’ junior high cross country teams competed at the Oil Patch Invitational in Sundown on Saturday. On the boy’s side, Sammy Saenz placed 11th overall with a time of 13:40.35, while Ayden Arredondo finished 26th overall with a time of 14:33.87.

Lady cats drop five-set thriller at Idalou

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team went the distance with Idalou on Tuesday, but came up short in their district match-up, 2-3. With the loss, the Lady Cats fall to 13-9 overall, 0-2 in district play. The Lady Cats dropped a backand- forth set one, 18-25.

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity cross country team placed fifth in Lubbock on Saturday with 139 points. They were led by senior, Taytum Goodman, who placed first overall with a time of 12:05.
