It was written in the time-frame of 1,500 years, by 40 authors.

Even though the majority of the authors did not know each other, up to today no contradictions or mistakes have been found in it.

I ask “Why do we need the bible?”

“In the beginning God created heaven and earth”. This is how the Word of God begins in Genesis 1:1 and ends with Revelation 22:20-21, “He which testifies these things said, Surely I come quickly, Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”

Our body needs to be well fed. So then what do we feed the soul and the spirit? The best fountain that brings us peace, faith, love among other things is the Word of God.

It does not matter how well we feed our bodies, let’s see what Matthew 15:17 tells us “Do ye not yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly and is cast out into the draught?”

Now let’s see what it tells us about the spiritual food in Isaiah 40:8 “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth; but the word of God shall stand forever”. And in Jeremiah 15:16 it says “The words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart; for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of Host”.

It has been 53 years that the Bible has been my principal book of advice. Result: it has made a great change and I continue to do it. We do not have to read so we can get what we want but what we need. Matthew, Mark and Luke tell us: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away”.

It is in our disposition. Why does Marco Colina read his Bible? Because it guides me, it feeds me, it educates me, it comforts me, it motivates me, it inspires me, and it glorifies God the closer I get to him.

A question: Do you believe you need it? If your answer is yes, then that’s why the Lord took 1,500 years and 40 authors to form the major book that humanity needs.

I bless you and I desire the best in your spiritual life.
