From the Desk of: MIKE READ

To the Patrons of Littlefield ISD:

I trust each of you are having a great summer! I am Mike Read, the new Superintendent of the Littlefield Independent School District. I look forward to working with you as we prepare your child(ren) to become future leaders of our society.

Littlefield ISD is a TEA “A” rated district by the Texas Education Agency. I am excited about what we have to offer our students academically and extracurricular wise for the 21-22 school year. We have an awesome group of teachers and staff members who truly care about every child that walks the halls of LISD.

I encourage you to become an active partner in your child’s education! Please check with each campus regarding the potential opportunities to make a difference in the life of a child! I also encourage you to check out our new website that will be ready in late July at www.lfdisd.org. You will be impressed! A special “Thank You” to Kaylia Thomas for getting all our information transferred over from our previous website to the new one.

I would like to introduce the team: Mitch McNeese will be our Assistant Superintendent. Bryan Gregory is our Chief Operations Officer while Bev Boldes is our new Chief Financial Officer/Business Manager. Rachel Moreno will be taking care of our PEIMS along with attendance and other duties as she joins the Littlefield Wildcat family. Jessica Longoria will be our new Accounts Payable secretary. Amber Hays will be our High School Principal, while Brent Green will be handling the Assistant Principal duties.

For Junior High, Adam Solis takes over as Principal while Monica Acevedo will be our Junior High Assistant Principal. Tom Whistler is our Elementary Principal. In Primary, Staci Sumners is our new Principal coming to us from Lubbock ISD. Nicole Shelly will be our new High School Counselor, while Yolanda Solis is our new Junior High Counselor. Tami McGehee is our Counselor for Primary and Elementary.

Mary Ellen Rangel is the Superintendent’s Secretary, while Jackie Milligan is the Assistant Superintendent’s Secretary. Josie Servantez is the Payroll Clerk. As you can see, we have made a few changes, and I am grateful for the team we have in place! I will be writing articles each

I will be writing articles each month for our community, updating you on activities and events going on at school. Hopefully, you will find this information worthwhile and will keep you updated as the school year progresses. If you have questions, please feel free to contact me at 385-4105.
