Maria Z. Garza, 93, of Springlake passed away Thursday, Sept. 24, 2021 at home. She was born April 13, 1928 in Karnes City, TX to Ramon and Candida (Chapa) Zamora. Maria married Hilario Garza Sept. 11, 1948 in Santa Anna, TX. Together they had six daughters and one son.

On September 21, 2021, Rufus Lee Ducey Williams passed away at the age of 75 in Lubbock, Texas. Rufus was born on February 8, 1946 in Novice, Texas, to the union of Leora Thompson and Harvest Williams, Sr. He graduated from North Powderly High School where he excelled in math and sports.

Monico Aguilar, 82, passed away Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021 in Littlefield. He was born March 26, 1939 in Littlefield to Fernando and Consuella (Guerra) Aguilar. Monico married Carolina Coronado on Nov. 19, 1958 in Littlefield. He was a hard worker and worked for the City of Littlefield for many years.

Deacon Rufus Lee Williams, age 75, passed away on Sept. 21, 2021 at University Medical Center in Lubbock after a brief illness. Funeral Services for Deacon Williams will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Littlefield. Visitation will be on Monday, Sept.

Celebration of Life Services for T. L. (Terry) Garrett, 82, were held on Tuesday at Trinity Church. Pastor Garrett died Friday, Sept. 17, 2021. Services were under the direction of Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers.

Ann Thaggard Owens, age 93, died in Lubbock on Sept. 17, 2021. She was born July 8, 1928 in Dallas, Texas and raised in Altus, Oklahoma, where she lived until she graduated from high school and left for Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri.

Fernando Garcia, 49, of Lovington, NM passed away Monday, Sept. 13, 2021 in Lovington. He was born Oct. 11, 1971 in Littlefield to Leandro and Pala R. Garcia. Fernando was a hard worker who did lawncare. He enjoyed barbequing. doing art and making crafts. Services were held at 1:00 p.m.
