Terry Brent Duke, 59, of Levelland, TX., passed away on Oct. 12, 2023 after a short battle with ALS. Brent was born on Dec. 21, 1963, to Jackie and Ruthie Duke in Floydada. Brent met his wife of 30 years, Cynthia, in Littlefield. Brent and Cynthia went on to have two children, Haylee and Tyce.

JOE A. SHUTTLESWORTH

Joe A. Shuttlesworth, 98, passed away on Oct. 12, 2023. Joe was born in Sudan, Texas, on October 12, 1925. After enlisting as a Marine at eighteen, he showcased bravery and commendable leadership during WWII, particularly at the battle of Okinawa, where he was put in charge of the “Code Talkers.
