William Quincy Boyce, II passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024. He was born September 15, 1940 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was raised in Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1958. He attended West Texas State University where he received a BA degree in Criminal Justice Administration.

Quincy worked as a Jailer for both Potter and Randall counties. He worked as a Parole Officer in Amarillo before becoming employed by the New Mexico Department of Corrections. He worked as a Probation Officer for the Coconino County, Arizona Adult Probation Office. He worked for the Carroll County Georgia Prison and then the Georgia Department of Corrections from which he retired in 2002. He moved to Littlefield, Texas in 2004 where he was employed at the Bill Clayton Detention Center. He later went to work at the Dismas Charities Federal Halfway House in Lubbock, Texas where he retired for good in 2018.

Quincy married Louisa Echevarria of Littlefield, Texas in 1978. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Quincy Boyce and Ida Mae Boyce.

He is survived by his wife, Louisa Boyce; son, William Quincy Boyce, III and wife, Val of Woodland, Utah; daughter, Michelle Floyd of Villa Rica, Georgia; son, Justin Daniel Boyce of Cumming, Georgia, all from a previous marriage; and a stepson, Audie Munoz and wife, Sharon of Amarillo, Texas; nine grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

Services will be at1:00 p.m., Wednesday March 27, 2024 at Grace Chapel (1305 Phelps Ave., Littlefield, Texas). Interment will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery (14200 Texas Plains Trail I-27, Amarillo, Texas). In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Littlefield EMS (PO Box 1267, Littlefield, Texas) or to the West Texas Boys Ranch. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
