Terry Gunn

Terry Gunn, 76, of Littlefield passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024 in Lubbock. He was born February 17, 1948 in Demorest, Georgia to Donald Gunn and Audrey Watson.

Terry proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during Vietnam. He graduated with a Masters degree from the University of Georgia, and he remained a lifelong Bulldog fan.

Terry married Margaret Ann Austin on September 8, 1984 in Galax Virginia, and shortly after the couple settled in Littlefield, Texas. Terry worked at American Cotton Growers as an Industrial Engineer for many years.

He was active in the community, coaching AAU sports which he loved. He also became a dedicated Wildcat fan, and especially loved supporting them, especially when one of his two boys were playing ball.

Never one to sit idle, Terry could often be found working in the yard or garden with Margaret. He had many interests including history, sports, and religion. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Littlefield.

Terry is survived by his wife, Margaret Gunn of Littlefield; two sons, James Bond and wife, Jennifer of Lubbock and Hurley Gunn and wife, Merideth of Dallas; two grandsons, James Bond and Jonah Gunn; and a sister, Susan Simmons of Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Donald Gunn and stepmom, Dena Gunn; his mother, Audrey Watson; his brother, Lawrence Gunn; and his sister, Carol Gunn.

Memorial services to celebrate the life of Terry Gunn will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday March 27, 2024 at Grace Chapel in Littlefield (1305 Phelps Avenue) with Pastor Tanner Wilson officiating.

Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
