Suzann Craig

Suzann Craig, 68, of Littlefield passed away Monday, November 7, 2022 in Littlefield.

She was born April 23, 1954 in Littlefield to Manuel Sanchez and Corene Marquez Sanchez.

Suzann attended Littlefield High School and graduated with the Class of 1972. She married Daniel Benton Craig, Jr. on February 14, 1980. She worked for Littlefield ISD for over 30 years as a Teacher's Aide before retiring in 2014.

Suzann was a devout Catholic, and generously gave a lot of her time to her church. She was the CCD class director at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was a faithful member for many years. She enjoyed crafting, was an avid reader with an extensive library of books. Suzann was sensitive, loving and kind and made sure to instill the importance of 'always doing the right thing' and being honest in her children. Above all else, she loved her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and 'Nana'.

She is survived by a son, Andy Craig of Littlefield; a daughter, D'Ann Craig and fiancée, Jaime Ojeda of Littlefield; two grandchildren, Brennan Craig and Lauren Ojeda both of Littlefield; her mother, Corene Sanchez of Littlefield; three sisters, Mary Helen Martinez, Cynthia Ortega and husband, Rudy, and Elaine Ybarra and husband, Arthur all of Littlefield; three brothers, Manuel Sanchez of Lubbock, Jerry Sanchez and wife, Mary of Littlefield and Bobby Sanchez and wife, Aurora of Littlefield; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, on February 9, 2019; her father; a sister, Mary Jane Aguirre; and a brother, Albert Sanchez.

Funeral Mass was held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield with Father Angelo Consemino and Father Brian Wood officiating. Interment followed in Littlefield Memorial Park. Rosary was recited on Friday evening, November 11 at the funeral home. Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
