Shirlee Boyd Andersen, 89 of Amherst, Texas died Thursday, May 11, 2023 in Amherst. Shirlee was born July 8, 1933, to Leonard Estes Evans and Fannie Agnes Nickel Evans.

Shirlee had a passion for nursing and for caring for others. She was a gifted painter and artist. Shirlee was known for her huge heart and an immense love for her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and two brothers.

Shirlee is survived by her husband, Harald Andersen; daughter, Ricki and husband, Danny Kelley of Muleshoe, Texas; son, Robin Richardson of Eagle River, Alaska; son, Gary and wife, Laura Richardson of Fredericksburg, Texas; granddaughter Erin Kelley of Dallas, Texas; grandson John Evan Kelley of Las Vegas, Nevada; granddaughter, Christi and husband, Chad Trask of Columbus, Ohio; granddaughter, Kelsey Richardson of Kerville, Texas; granddaughter, Collette and husband, Todd Brooke of Tega Cay, South Carolina; and great-grandson, Noah Kelley of Austin, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations sent to Harmonee House in Amherst, Texas.
