San Juana DeLaCruz, 75, of Olton, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Ramage Funeral Directors, in Olton. Graveside services will follow at Olton Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2025, with Rev. Angela Valenzuela officiating and under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.
San Juana was born July 10, 1949, in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Antonio and Matilde (Rubio) Hernandez and raised by her grandmother, Josefa Camacho. On March 28, 1966, San Juana married Jesus DeLaCruz and they moved to Olton in 1986 from Laredo. A devoted homemaker and migrant worker, she later owned and operated Juanita’s Kitchen, in Olton, for six years. San Juana loved cooking and sharing her meals. She also enjoyed music.
San Juana was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son.
Those left to cherish her memory include her five sons; her two daughters; her daughter-in-law; 29 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
