SAMUEL MARTINEZ

Samuel Martinez, 95, of Olton, died Friday, April 1, 2022, in Olton. Mass was celebrated at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2022, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Olton with Fr. Jeremy Trull officiating. Interment followed at Olton Cemetery, with Ramage Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Samuel was born Sept. 3, 1926, in Brackettville, TX, to Simplicio Jr. and Maria (Charles) Martinez. He moved to Olton in 1952 and in 1953, he married Sofia Fuentes. Samuel was a concrete worker until working at Excel Meat Packers for more than 25 years. Samuel was a talented woodworker, and enjoyed camping and doing everything outdoors.
