Church service for Rosendo H. Alcaraz, age 67, of Sudan, Texas, is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 11, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield, Texas with Father Jeff Church of Littlefield officiating. Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Ellis Funeral Home in Muleshoe, Texas. Burial will be in Sudan Cemetery. Rosendo died Thursday, March 7, 2024 in Lubbock, Texas. He was born June 30, 1956 in Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico to Rosendo Alcaraz and Maria (Herrera) Capuchino. He married Socorro Garcia-Gomez in Zaragoza on October, 30, 1978.

Rosendo loved music and liked to sing and dance. He also enjoyed fishing with his son. Rosendo loved to do everything for his family, and he meant EVERYTHING. His grandchildren were his world, but he also liked to make new friends. He was the type of person who would drop everything for his family or his friends. Rosendo was "The Protector" of his family, always. He enjoyed cruising around in his GTO or his small Ranger. Rosendo was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Rosendo is survived by his wife, Socorro; his son, Rosendo Alcaraz of Sudan, Texas; his four daughters, Yadira Rodriguez and her husband, Timmy of Sudan, Texas, Karla Sanchez and her husband, Juan Jr. of Sudan, Texas, Brenda Alcaraz and Jose "Chuy" Santana of Sudan, Texas and Mardia Bruner and her husband, Jordan of Louisiana; five sisters; two brothers; and nine grandchildren, Ruben Diego Rodriguez, Abram Leandro Rodriguez, Melodia Rae Rodriguez, Kathryn Nicole Alcarez, Rosendo Alcarez IV, Luke Mateo Sanchez, Sofia Bella Santana, Darian Bruner and Lyonel David Bruner.
