Ronnie Dale Stamps, bom June 15,1952 in Pampa, Texas passed away on August 17, 2026 peacefully in his home, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, family, and countless memories shared with those who knew and loved him.
Ronnie is survived by his beloved wife, Truby Stamps of Anton; his daughters, Wendy Atchley and husband, Mark Atchley of Lubbock, Sonnie Morris and husband, Andy Morris of Wolfforth, and Sandy Cox and husband, Kyle Cox of Lubbock. He was a proud Papa to his 11 grandchildren, Austin Atchley and wife, Ashlee, Kaitlin Burch, Tyler Prichard, Hunter Cox, Ry lan Cox, Kamron Burch, Anzleigh Atchley, Carter Cox, Zane Prichard, Kcdan Burch, Abbey Atchlcy and Cash Morris, and two great grandbabies Parker and Rhett Atchley, as well as many adopted grandchildren who lovingly called him “Papa.” He is also survived by his brothers, Thomas Stamps of Amarillo and Mark Stamps of Fritch.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Francis Stamps, and his sister, Brenda Park.
Ronnie retired from L. Howard Construction after many years of hard work and dedication. He faithfully served as an Elder for the Lawrcncc Avenue Church of Christ in Anton, where his faith and love for the Lord were an important part of his life. Ronnie’s greatest joy was his family. He loved watching his children and grandchildren participate in the activities they enjoyed—from sorting, rodeoing, track, and basketball to shopping for dresses and helping his girls pick out the perfect one. He was always there to cheer them on and support them.
Ronnie was also a bit of a thrill seeker, enjoying time on his boats and side-by-sides and always ready for his next adventure. But above all, Ronnie loved his family, he loved his country, and he loved Jesus. His family and friends will remember him as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, Papa, and friend whose love reached far beyond his immediate family. The many children and grandchildren who called him “Papa” were blessed to know his love, encouragement, and unwavering support.
Burial with full military honors will took place at Anton Cemetery on August 21, 2026. A celebration of Ronnie’s life followed at Lawrence Avenue Church of Christ in Anton.
Ronnie will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Arrangements were under the personal care of I Iillcrest Funeral I Iome in Littlefield.
